The National Exchange Club

Founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1911, Exchange is a national service organization focused exclusively on strengthening communities within the United States. With hundreds of local clubs and thousands of members across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, Exchange connects people who want to give their time and talents where they live.

Exchange centers on family, community, and country, and its motto is “Unity for Service.” Local clubs drive impact through three Programs of Service—Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs—while the national project is the Prevention of Child Abuse.

National Project: Prevention of Child Abuse

Since 1979, Exchange has championed the prevention of child abuse through education, advocacy, and community-based support. Exchange supports Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Centers and the Exchange Parent Aide model to help families thrive.
